FISHING RULES
- FISHING SEASON; The season will begin on 1st. March each year. No stocking will take place after September.
- FISHING TIMES; From one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset throughout the week.
- FLIES; LURES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Flies should be a maximum length of one inch from the eye to the tip of the tail. Maximum hook size is size ten long shank. No more than three flies per cast. BARBLESS (or de-barbed) HOOKS ONLY.
- 4. CATCH LIMITS; Up to four stocked fish per day may be killed, to a maximum of 10 stocked fish per month. Catch and release is allowed with no limit on numbers. No stocked fish over 3LB to be killed. All stocked fish not killed must be returned at once to the water with a minimum of handling. No brown trout may be killed. (Any diseased fish must be killed and this must be reported in the catch returns log. These will not count towards a member’s allocation).
- BOOKING IN/OUT AND CATCH RECORDING. The fishing log will be kept in the box near pool one. All members and their guest must sign in before commencing to fish and out before leaving, also recording the catch numbers per pool, fish killed per pool along with the approximate weight of the fish killed and any other information or comments.
No fish should be transferred between pools unless first authorised by the committee.
- GUESTS; Members are allowed up to ten guest tickets per season at a cost of twenty pounds each. Non fishing guests are welcome and do not need to be recorded. (Cost of guest tickets will be added to the next year’s subscription). Fish taken by guests will count towards the members daily and monthly limits. Members are responsible for their guests and must ensure that their guests are aware of the rules.
- ENTRANCE; Access to the fishery will be through the main gate. The gate must be closed by the last member to leave unless the shops and /or shooting are open.
- ALL MEMBERS AND GUESTS MUST HOLD A CURRENT FISHING LICENCE.
N.B. The club will not accept any responsibility for injury, loss or damage suffered by any member or guest or third party whilst on the land or water. Members and guest are expected to cover themselves against such risks including third party risk.
